I was born in Mexico City, write music and live in Madrid.

I have a PhD in Musical Composition from the University of Birmingham, where I studied with Jonty Harrison and Scott Wilson, was a member of BEAST (Birmingham Electroacoustic Sound Theatre), and worked on the development of Iannis Xenakis’s stochastic synthesis.

In 2006, I received a Master's Degree with Distinction in Sonology (with specialization in Composition) from the Institute of Sonology at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, studying with Paul Berg and Kees Tazelaar. In 2004, I received a Master's Degree in Composition from the Conservatory of Rotterdam, studying with Klaas de Vries and René Uijlenhoet. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Composition from the Musical Studies and Research Center (CIEM, Mexico), where I studied with Ma. Antonieta Lozano, Kavindu Alejandro Velasco, Vincent Carver and Víctor Rasgado. From 2000 to 2003, I took private composition lessons with Ignacio Baca Lobera.

I have participated in masterclasses with Klaus Huber, Frances-Marie Uitti, Luca Francesconi, Toshio Hosokawa, the Nieuw Ensemble and Les Jeunes Solistes, among others.

My music has been performed in Mexico, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, the United States, Chile, Spain, Australia, Switzerland, Peru, Cuba, El Salvador, Austria and Japan.
